4-Day Thompson Okanagan Golf Tour

Our golf courses take advantage of the region's unique terrain and spectacular vistas - Come, Play, and See what everyone's talking about!

Natural, rolling terrain characterizes the Thompson Okanagan valley, making it one of the best sites for golf course locations. Renowned for its natural beauty, abundant sunshine, crystal-clear lakes, bountiful orchards, and world class vineyards - this region is, without a question, one of the most exquisite areas of Canada. Golfers return year after year to the Thompson Okanagan for its hot, sunny climate, extended golf season and the diversity and sheer concentration of premium courses. Discover incredible golf settings at one of the planet's most beautiful destinations.

Day 1 – Vancouver to Oliver drive (4½ hours) or Kelowna to Oliver drive (1.5 hours)

  • Your first round of golf takes you to Oliver, the official wine capital of Canada.
  • Start your afternoon off with a round of golf at Nk’Mip Canyon Desert Golf Course in Oliver, a 30minute drive south of Penticton. The desert theme of the golf course and clubhouse blends in beautifully to the native surroundings.  Owned and operated by the Osoyoos Indian Band, Nk’Mip Canyon is a striking blend of natural contrasts divided into the desert-dominated Canyon Nine, which delights in throwing the elements at an unwary golfer, and the more laid-back Grove Nine whose verdant fairways and greens welcome a long drive and a satisfying putt.  Don’t forget a hat as temperatures can get as high as 40 Celsius and watch for rattlesnakes on some holes!

Day 2 – Penticton to Kelowna (50 minutes)

  • You will rise early this day and travel north to Kelowna to golf at one the courses in the Okanagan Golf Alliance (www.spectaculargolf.com). Choose from Gallagher’s Canyon, Predator Ridge, Harvest and two 18 holes layouts at the Okanagan Golf Club. They are all courses that wind through canyons, beside clear lakes and streams, across open, rolling hills, through working orchards, and in the shadows of stately pines. Play a walking layout one day, followed by a more mountainous challenge the next. Wherever you tee it up, our laid-back ambiance will cheer you as if you’d one-putted every green. Grapes love the same weather that golfers do, which is why 65 lush vineyards surround our five distinctive championship layouts.
